ATLAS / INTERACTIVE WALKTHROUGH
DCS JTAC nine-line guide
Follow Kristine’s CAS tasking and Axeman’s complete radio flow: game plan, grouped nine-line, remarks, pilot readback, attack clearance, named egress and further tasking without checking in again.
Updated for Test27.25. Audio uses ATLAS’s local Pocket TTS voices and the exact transcript shown below. A separate synthetic pilot voice distinguishes your calls. These are illustrative DCS scenarios, not recordings of a live flight. Mission frequencies, winds, routes and assigned values take priority. No microphone is used.

AXEMAN. FROM CHECK-IN TO EGRESS.
Select a stage or play the complete exchange. The nine-line is grouped naturally, followed by remarks and your readback. Three attacks demonstrate continuous tasking. All coordinates are simulated examples.
FOLLOW THE RADIO FLOW
The brief is part of a conversation. ATLAS continues with remarks, required readbacks and supported mission calls. Availability depends on your build and mission configuration. For DCS simulation only.
Optional check-in details. Required attack readback.
On 249.000 AM, “Kristine, Viper one one, available for CAS” is enough to declare availability. You may also state weapons and time available. Kristine still verifies actual CAS stores and selects the nearest available armed aircraft. Tell her “unable CAS” to withdraw.
Axeman normally uses 249.500 AM. Friendly eligible troops, including dynamic helo drops, can provide ATLAS tasking without requiring MOOSE or CTLD. Existing mission JTACs keep their own control.
Copy elevation, the complete target grid and every restriction from your actual assignment. Read them back naturally. After confirmation, report IP inbound, acquire the target, then call IN with the assigned heading. Only “cleared hot” authorizes that pass. OFF and EGRESS are separate reports; fly the named egress before requesting further tasking.
The first sample includes optional smoke and laser requests. A laser is not needed for an unguided Mk-82 attack. For laser-guided weapons, use the assigned code. Further tasking always requires the new target’s brief, remarks, readback and clearance.
